Improv for Public Speaking

“According to most studies, people's number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that sound right? This means to the average person, if you go to a funeral, you're better off in the casket than doing the eulogy.” - Jerry Seinfeld

Public Speaking is scary! In this workshop Bird City Improv offers tangible skills to make public speaking more accessible. Participants will learn mindful strategies, nonverbal tricks, and associative tools to tell stories with confidence and ease. We will engage cognitive exercises that increase memorization and use textual analysis to find the most potential in a pre-planned speech. We'll also explore ways to speak spontaneously, imbuing last minute speeches with confidence, humor, and humility. Whether you're going to speak at an event, present your latest work, or pitch a new idea, it is important express yourself with strength and authenticity. We're here to help.
